2-14-04 "Well, look who's got Martha Stewart locked in a basement."

I do! Yes, that's right. We've been making candles and she's been telling me what she plans on doing with her jail cell. Although I don't think that Japanese silk looks good with cement blocks, she seems to be into it... Anyway, yes, I was making candles. Still am, technically. They're cooling. The greatest thing though, is that they have the essence of Rachel. What is the essence of Rachel you ask? Is it stale beer and left over pizza? No, it's Sticky Bumps surf wax! That's right, they smell like surf wax. And actual candle wax, because I didn't have enough surf wax for one candle. And Crayola crayons, because I wanted to make them blue. Still very cool, and very Rachel-like. I mean, I like crayons, who doesn't? Do you? If you don't I suggest you come over and see my candle, because it will convince you that crayons are just super cool. Sure, there won't be any words exchanged that might persuade you, but it's awesomeness will rock your socks.

Speaking of socks, and more importantly of rocking. I went to the MxPx, Sugarcult, Simple Plan concert on the 8th. Insanely awesome. Before the show, we were waiting in line for the doors to open, and these 12 year old girls behind us who were there to see Simple Plan, kept pointing at a tour bus across the street and saying that it was in fact, get this, Simple Plan's! But they were too afraid to go over there and knock on the door. Of course, Liz, and her lack of understanding of fear, agrees to go with them to knock on the door. We all waited in line, assuming that no one would answer, but next thing we know, Jeff, that's right, Jeff, walks down the steps and answers the door! And at that moment the 12 year old girl in me took over and ran across the street, almost getting run over in the process. Of course, my lack of safety skills is still with me, so it is possible that I was still all of my 15 years for about 6 seconds. So, anyway, I got Jeff to sign my ticket, and he was just so cool. I was practically hyperventilating. After the show we met everyone from Simple Plan, most of them at least three times, for pictures, autographs, and mild stalking. I found Jeff's pick on the ground, and I had Michelle fake a pen dropping to pick it up because it was behind the red line. Dangerous area back there. We also met two of the guys from MxPx, and two of the guys from Sugarcult. I just love Marko. He's so cool. When we were waiting for Jennifer's dad to pick us up, we were talking to him outside. He's so not rock star-ish. He actually looked nervous. But I really couldn't tell if he was in fact shy, or afraid that someone would pull out a stun gun and he'd wake up in the back seat of a van headed for Mexico. So, there you have it. Martha Stewart and rock n' roll.

2-16-04 "It's done!"

I can now proudly say that my script has a beginning, middle, and that's right folks, an end. The first one I've ever written. How sad is that I've never been able to finish a script? I mean come on, I've only tried writing like 20 of them? Why is that when the entire creative process is forced, something actually gets done? And it's not half bad? I should pretend to have deadlines more often. Yes, but anyway, it's done. I'm not sure if I'll post it up here though. It just sounds like too much work. Oh well, I've got to finish the rest of my homework. Oh, and if you know anyone who can act, please tell me! I've got limited resources at the moment.
